Ok dudes, this is THE book.

You won’t find a single engineer on Earth telling you this is something less that awesome. Before the advent of ANSI Kernighahthe first edition of the text served as the de facto standard of the language for writers of C compilers.

I also didn’t really care to hear much about what changed between pre-standard C and ANSI C; the second edition treats this transition as a central concern of each and every chapter.

It might not be the best first book for C, but it is definitely a great second one.
